New Year, New Memories: What better way to kick off 2026 than with a splash of nature, a dash of dance, and a whole lot of community spirit?
Recently, the Abhiyaan Institute family—bringing together students from our Gorubathan and Banarhat branches, along with the stylish members of our autonomous body, Glamora—headed out for an unforgettable day of celebration. With a vibrant group of 50+ students, we traded our classrooms for the serene hills of the Dooars.
Destination: The Serene Jhalong
Our primary destination was Jhalong, a hidden gem known for its breathtaking riverside views and the soothing sound of the Jaldhaka River. As we arrived, the crisp morning air and the scenic landscape set the perfect stage for our New Year festivities.
Highlights of the Day
A Scenic Detour: We didn’t just stop at the riverside! The group visited the Dalgaon View Point, where we were treated to a panoramic view of the lush green valleys. It was the perfect spot for those “Instagrammable” moments.
Food & Fellowship: No picnic is complete without a feast. Students enjoyed a variety of delicious dishes, sharing meals and laughter under the open sky.
Dance & Music: Once the music started, there was no stopping us! From local hits to party anthems, the energy was electric as students and Glamora members danced together, celebrating the bond that makes Abhiyaan Institute so special.

This picnic wasn’t just about sightseeing; it was about welcoming 2026 with a positive mindset. Seeing the Gorubathan and Banarhat branches mingle so effortlessly showed the true strength of our student community.
